With so many dermal fillers on the market. Evolence did not gain enough market traction. Johnson and Johnson pulled the product because sales did not meet their expectations. Plus from people I spoke with the filler is harder to inject, and did cause some unsightly lumps.

The No. 1 and No. 2 fillers are Restylane and Juvederm. Evolence came on the market hoping to be a strong competitor.

My take is that doctors are very happy with the results from Restylane and Juevederm as dermal fillers. Radiesse is another filler which is popular and works great for the cheek area. Plus there are variations of Juvederm for deeper lines, as well as Perlane.

I never tried Evolence because I have been very happy with Restylane, Juvederm and Radiesse. I found no real reason to try Evolence.

Evolence is up for sale… so we will keep an eye on it.
